The Tokyo Stock Exchange (known as T艒ky艒 Sh艒ken Torihikijo, T艒sh艒 or TSE), is the third largest stock exchange in the world. The Tokyo Stock Exchange was established in 1878.聽Total of 2320聽companies were listed as of May聽2013.

The very well-known stocks are included in the Nikkei 225聽index that is published by Nihon Keizai Shimbun (Nikkei). Nikkei 225聽is the main Japan stock聽index.
